We are looking to recruit additional volunteers to join our enthusiastic and committed team.
The 2025 festival takes place from Friday 23 May to Monday 26 May, and we are looking to recruit volunteers to help with a range of tasks across the four days of the festival.
Benefits/Rewards for Volunteers
Free Sidmouth Jazz Festival T-shirt and lanyard, free refreshments throughout including the wonderful mini pasties/sandwiches made by the catering team, free soft drinks and a limited amount of beer and wine, free entrance to the ticket only evening concerts and daytime performances.
In exchange for access to all 4 days of the festival (which would usually cost £215) we ask that you work for two 8 hour shifts.
Volunteers will be full briefed and supported throughout your shift. Lots of laughter, camaraderie, and a fabulous day out!
Example Volunteer Roles
Event Marshalls
Volunteers required to greet and help festival goers, as necessary.
These volunteers will be responsible for making sure the site is kept clean and tidy, including emptying bins and checking trailer toilets are kept clean and stocked.
Box Office Teams
These volunteers will be located at our dedicated box office to greet concert goers, sell tickets (including using a card reading machine), give out wrist bands and stickers and encourage donations.
Donation Teams
This crucial role is required during the daytime music performances to mingle with festival goers and encourage them to donate towards ensuring the future of the festival. We will use donation buckets and payment card readers. A smiling and positive demeanour is key.
Merchandise Teams
Volunteers are required to manage the sale of our festival merchandising located within a gazebo next to the box office selling festival t-shirts, tote bags and artiste’s merchandise.
Workshop Stewards
Stewards will be required in each of our worship venues over the weekend, marshalling the attendees and checking bookings etc.
Volunteer Refreshments
This is a ‘back of house’ role involving looking after volunteer belongings and making sure food and drinks are replenished during the day and evening.
