IF YOU LOVE MUSIC THEN THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE TO BE OVER THE END OF MAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND THAN SUNNY SIDMOUTH!
It's marvellous to see that spring has finally sprung into life as we gear up and prepare for an amazing 2023 music filled festival over the end of May bank holiday weekend in the beautiful Regency coastal town of Sidmouth.
Blues Skies and amazing Jazz and Blues awaits you between Friday 26 to Monday 29 May.
Our full programme of live music events has been finalised and are all announced and detailed on the festival website.
Tickets are selling fast for the festivals four evening headline concerts at Blackmore Gardens with the multi – award winning American Jazz singer and saxophonist Curtis Stigers, British Acid Jazz giants, The Brand-New Heavies, Chicago Blues giant Mud Morganfield and the legendary multi – award – winning British Jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine.
We have also recently announced a unique afternoon concert of Parisian Gypsy Jazz on Monday 29 May with 'Benoit Viellefon and his Hot Club' which is inspired by the swinging music that emerged from the infamous Parisian Cafes and nightclubs of the 1930s and 1940s,
CROWDFUNDER CLOSES AND THANK YOU TO ALL THAT DONATED
Our free music Crowdfunder closed on Sunday 30 April, and we are delighted that we managed to secure £3,693 towards our vibrant free music programme. A huge thank you from all of us at the festival team to those that generously donated which has made a positive contribution to our free music events.
THREE DAYS OF FANTASTIC FREE MUSIC ON THE FESTIVAL'S OUTDOOR COMMUNITY STAGE AT BLACKMORE GARDENS FROM 27 TO 29 MAY
Three days of free live music will take place from Saturday 27 to Monday 29 May from 12.00pm to 5.30pm, presenting the finest, Jazz, Swing, Blues, Roots, Soul, Funk, Latin and Cuban music featuring four outstanding acts per day with emerging and established talent.
WE STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT SO PLEASE DONATE AT THE FREE MUSIC EVENTS DURING THE FESTIVAL
We are asking everyone that attends and enjoys our vibrant free music performances to also make a much-appreciated donation on each day.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers that will be on hand to help you to donate either in cash or online.
AN ARRAY OF FABULOUS FREE MUSIC AT LOCAL FRINGE VENUES BETWEEN 25 TO 29 MAY - PUBS, CAFE'S AND HOTELS
The festival programme includes additional performances at fringe venues in the town where you can get together and relax with family and friends, listening to great live music, enjoying great food and drinks at the various venues within the town and nearby locations that are hosting live performances.
FREE STREET MUSIC - SATURDAY 27 & MONDAY 29 MAY
There will also be free street music during the festival taking place outside the Sidmouth Market Place.... details to be announced soon!
