Paul Strange Quartet Hammond Funk & Blues

PSQ is led by Hammond organist Paul Strange, previously of soul-jazz quartet Horizon 22. With airplay on Craig Charles’s BBC 6 Music show, Horizon 22 appeared at London’s Jazz Café (supporting Jamie Cullum) and Rome’s Mica Club.

PSQ’s drummer Richard Glazebrook is an “in-demand” doyen of the Devon music scene. He’s worked with harmonicist Johnny Mars, blues bands Buffalo Squeeze and Hucklebuck, soul band Souled and Nashville-inspired Chicken Slacks.

Guitarist Dave Carmichael has played in local blues and rock bands, including Utopia, the Memphis Rockers and Scallywag. He's also worked with Paul Strange in blues band Chad Valley Five and The Stepchildren of Soul.

Ron Crisp is an experienced bassist who paid his dues playing blues and soul around London clubs all through the 1960s.
